Bella Thorne Opens Up About Sexual Assault
Bella Thorne has joined the movement of people who have come forward about being sexually violated.
In a tweet posted on December 8, the Midnight Sun actress revealed that she is a survivor of molestation. Bella shared this in response to a Twitter user who replied to a photo that she'd posted. Bella quoted the tweet and said: "Yeah I was. So it wasn't Disney,” debunking the original tweet’s accusatory tone against the company. kinky anal gear
For the most part, the responses to Bella's confession have been supportive. "You are brave for letting the world know. You are loved and strong," one fan wrote. Another commented: "Omg stay strong sis! We'll support you." Bella added further commentary in another tweet, writing: "The world can be a sick place sometimes."
This isn't the first time Bella has responded to trolls online who have questioned her career or slut-shamed her. The actress has continued to fight back against hurtful comments, and in the process, she often shares personal details with her fans. Her openness about her experiences has undoubtedly helped others feel less alone, but it's worth pointing out that she doesn't owe anyone explanations about her trauma. Furthermore, joking about sexual assault as an insult or a way to take someone down is never OK, huge celebrity or otherwise. Stars deserve the same amount of respect as the rest of us — in person and online. CBT toys UK
